It runs on my AMD XP1800+ with GF6600GT and Windows XP PRO SP1, but also worked on my Laptop Pentium-M with Radeon 9000 Mobility (also XP PRO SP1). I don't have tried on a P-IV, but i can try this week at work (Dell Optiplex GX280 P-IV with Intel integrated video).

LOL Skubidou, thats the view everybody has of me when we race that track.

The only reason I dont play POD right now, my big PC is dead, need a HD. My laptop (P4, ATI9000 M) doesnt have a Joystick plug for my old wheel. I havent actually tried to run POD on it, yet...

Can anyone tell me anything about the cars: Akir6 (as opposed to Akir7), Homard, Panther, Eagle, Banana, Turd, and Ed?

Specifically whether they are official cars and if not, who made them?

I have no idea who made all but one of them, but none of them are official. Akir6 may be a beta version of Akir7, not sure on that. FlyWheel is the creator of Turd (which is basically a reskin of saber with extreme speed). He had the original Ubisoft car editor and was able to edit the specs. Using that car is just plain cheating ;)

Homard is a Sik's (IIRC) reskin of the shark, with exactly the same physical abilities.
Panther is an ancient car from the early ages of pod (pod oem IIRC)
Eagle is a official bike.
Turd and ShiBlue are souped up cars from Flywheel (he said he made the ShiBlue- a blue Shivan- but no one's ever seen it)
Banana is officially a cheatin car.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I works fine on the 3DFX version. Was it ported?
Eagle is a official bike.
Really? I didn't expect that. It looks different from the other bikes.
Banana is officially a cheatin car.
So, did UBI release it?

I just tried out Turd and it's not any faster than Sabre. :?

I was able to get Sabre up to 225 on Beltane, but with Turd with the same settings I could only to 222. What am I doing wrong?

hmm, Eagle is an official bike? according to Ubi's French site it isnt. or at least it isnt listed.
as for turd, who knows, i just played it and gained about 10 seconds on beltane.

I've been trying to figure Turd out... its top speed seems to be slightly less than Sabre's, yet it "feels" faster.

My conclusion is that it is faster, but has a rigged speedometer. :D

Actually, it seems to have better acceleration rather than speed. While its top speed was slower, I noticed it was slightly faster when climbing hills, and a lot faster taking turns.

Hi all, it's been a while.

Got another request... does anyone have this mythical Twylite track? I can't find it anywhere, and I really want to try it out.

TIA.

Thanks! It's um... interesting. :D

I tried to take the shortcut in reverse mode (i.e. normal-Canyon mode)... now I know not to.

Cool track. 8)

Well... I did reskin it, but flywheel decided on his own to add buses, and made the track slippery. That was lame.

V'ger is what Twilight was meant to be.

Twylite looks better than VGer, IMO.

Hmm, where'd all the English people go?

Can someone please explain what's happening here:

https://www.murmuran.net/pod/viewtopic. ... c&start=15

Seems there are new tracks, unless I'm misunderstanding. Are they finished?

Can someone please send me a link?

If possible, I'd also like to make these tracks available for others to download. There are now two pages dedicated to hosting POD tracks, one of which is mine.

Mercury a écrit :Hey, I got a request. (They don't stop, do they?)

Seeing as there seem to be multiple versions of certain maps (different sky), and I wanna have them cause some of mine look like crap, I'm asking anyone with a POD Gold CD to send me the BL4s of the sixteen original maps. In order of priority, I'd like:

1. Pompeii
2. Veitland
3. Galleria
4. Canyon
5. the rest...
I finally downloaded the ISO of POD gold. The original 16 tracks do indeed come in different versions and the ones on the Gold CD don't have the sky/background problem I was seeing.
