POD IN GAME MUSIC

Messagepar Richard » 29 nov. 2004 2:58

Greetings, I am not getting any music in my game. I have stereo selected and music. Do you need a patch for this? I am running on my P4 WIN XP system. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

On modern sound card, you need to disable the "full duplex" option in the setting panel of your card. It works for my Sound Blaster AWE64

Krashtest, how do you disable the full duplex setting on the sound card?
You mention to do this but not how you can do it. I appreciate your help.

english ? (much difficult for me)

right mouse button on the "System" icon on the Desktop, then open the Settings tab and the device button. find your sound card. edit the properties and you should find the option "disable full duplex"

what system and sound card have you got ?

Krashtest, are you running a P4 with WIN XP? I do not think you can edit full duplex on the newer computers. I have a pent 4 Win XP. I have to check the sound card when I get home.

OK, It seem that only music is concerned ?

if so try this :
did you hear music when playing a music CD ?
if yes, try to listen the track n°2 of pod's CD
if no, it's a problem of link between your CD-ROM player and your sound card ...

Krashtest, on the pod cd there is a DIRECTX folder. Do I have to install this? I have DIRECTX version 8.1 on my computer. I notice there are joystick configurations here. Is this a good idea to install older version of DIRECTX over my 8.1?
Here is the file I refer to: http://www.geocities.com/superboy1963/directx.jpg
Thank You
