Bandie and i had a semi success at playing online.
i cud host but he cud not,he was getting some weird ip#,a 169#
that seems like an internal #,i tried the# he gave me an ip#which was right,was the 1 windows reported,but wud not work,when he cliks on answer in pod multiplay it showed that 169#.
Anyways,it can be done when i hosted ,we did abt 3 races ,everything fine,

POD REUNION lets do it!!!

..year, when i click on ANSWER (to make the Host) always automatically the ip# 169.254.231.31 is shown. Even when windows says my IP# is another one.
PS: I am online with DSL with just 1 PC.

Looks like an typical IP which is generated by Windows if DNS failes. Just open an console and do an 'ipconfig -all'. If you have more then one network adapter (VMware, Wireless LAN, ...), try to disable the other ones.

wow, under
Ethernetadapter LAN-Connection stands:
IP-Adress /Autoconfig.) : 169.254.231.31

So WinXP sets an ip# for my card 169...
and an IP# which is my individual ip# which chenges each login.

So what to do, to make both ip# equal to just 1 ip# ???
